Elementary STORM Students
Sawyer Whittington - 3rd Grade
Sawyer is an awesome STORM Student. She is someone who you can count on and is a positive role model for her peers. She will go out of her way to help others, students and teachers alike. Sawyer isn’t afraid of hard work, and will put everything she has into something until it is done right. She takes responsibility for her words and actions, and shows kindness to everyone. Sawyer is an all-around STORM student who makes a difference in her classroom and school. – Keri Smith
Waylon Sellers - 4th Grade
If STORM Student was in the dictionary, the definition would read Waylon Sellers. Waylon has always followed the STORM pledge, since he started school in Headstart. They say that good character is who you are when no one is watching, and that describes Waylon perfectly. Waylon is a friend to all students and goes out of his way to help. He helps pick up other students ' books when they drop them in the hallway, and he offers to help carry items when someone is struggling. In class, he is a role model to all! He helps his teachers and other students. He does not slack off when it comes to academics either. His grades are always top-notch. Waylon is going to have much success in his future. –Beth Bay
High School Students of the Month
7-9: Abigayl Terzopplous
I witnessed Abigayl at the homecoming game taking the time to talk to people all around her with genuine interest. She made eye contact with other classmates older and younger, smiling and talking to peers who would otherwise not be seen or spoken to. She made a point to speak to the Belpre cheerleaders, compliment them and connect with a welcoming countenance. Abigayl has always been respectful at clinic visits and helpful with any task and volunteering help when needed. -- Junia Maynard
If you ever need a smile, Abigayl Terzopplous is your girl! Being around Abigayl you can’t help but notice her infectious smile. This girl always has a smile on her face, and is always handing out compliments. During ball games she makes conversations with the opposing team and always throws in a compliment to make them feel good. Abigayl has a way of always making teachers and students feel valued and appreciated. If Abigayl sees a student sitting by themselves, she will go over and throw them a compliment in order to make their day better. If you ever need someone to lift your spirits, Abigayl is your person. Academically Abigayl always tries her hardest, but her biggest strength is lifting up others by always being positive and having a smile on her face. -- Beth Bay
10-12: Jacoby Hall
I think Jacoby Hall should receive the student of the month award because of his dedication in helping the office and staff members in the school. He always volunteers to help anyone that needs it and is also a great leader when it comes to helping the little ones or showing people how it's done. He also offers to help with anything without being asked to in situations. He also helps a lot of his classmates with any help they might need in any schoolwork, he just always finds something to do that will keep him going and help in any way. --Autumn Porter
