Our Mission Statement
The Southern Local Board of Education is an elected body created by the Ohio General Assembly. The Southern Local School Board consists of five elected, non-partisan positions. Each member is elected to a four year term. Members elected in alternating odd-year elections, with two members elected during one election and three members elected during the other.
Regular meetings are generally held on the fourth Monday of each month at 6:30 PM. Occasionally meetings are changed due to a holiday or break from school. All Board Meetings are held in the Community Classroom located in the Kathryn Hart Community Center.
